The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has eased out visa rules for people moving to the country to earn a living and staying there. The new rules have been implemented Monday onwards. The visa rules have been changed in order to include managers and experts in in the fields of engineering, health, education, business, and technology. 30% of the population of the UAE with 97 lakh people, comprises Indians.

Normally, visa rules require the person to have a national sponsor, but now, with the golden visa, the need of a sponsor comes to an end. Additionally, even if you are away from the country for 6 months, the visa will not get cancelled. The sponsor limit is not fixed either. In case of a visa holder’s death, his wife and children can continue living in the UAE till the residence permit expires.

This visa will be given to skilled workers, freelancers, investors, and entrepreneurs, and it will not be required to be sponsored by an employer. Along with this, family members will also be able to enjoy residence visas and other facilities. In UAE, in case of the residence permit expiring, one can live in the country for another 6 months without any difficulty. Parents can sponsor their children till the latter turn 25, earlier, the age limit was 18 years.

On the other hand, the multi-entry tourist visa will allow anyone to live in the country for 90 days straight, and this can be extended for another 90 days, and therefore, it will not be available for a period of more than 180 days. Before one applies for the same, it is required for their bank account to have 3.26 lakh rupees.
