Soon, the India-China border will be guarded by soldiers who will be more efficient in fighting without the use of weapons, as the ITBP has now introduced a new module for the training of the soldiers. The new module training is being given to ITBP’s combatant and non-combatant soldiers, in which 20 new techniques have been added. The soldiers are now being trained in, apart from Judo-Karate, Israeli martial art, and Japanese Aikido. Boxing and wrestling are being taught with Israeli Krav Maga, and many techniques of Aikido have been adopted.

The ITBP has also, near Panchkula, prepared the new module for its 15 to 20 thousand soldiers. These developments have been made in the 44-week training of the combatant, and 24-week training of the non-combatant soldiers.

The soldiers patrol the LAC without fire-arms, and both the countries have a mutual agreement on not firing on each other. During the Galwan incident, the Chinese soldiers had used medieval weapons, and 20 Indian soldiers were martyred in the clash.
