On Friday, the fourth attempt at an infiltration into India at the hands of Pakistan from the Anupgarh border in Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar took place in around four months. But not only did the BSF thwart the attempt but also gave a befitting reply to the firing opened by the Pak rangers in order to save their infiltrators. As per sources, at around 2.45 PM in the afternoon, in the Binjaur chowki area of Anupgarh sector, two Pakistani infiltrators entered the Indian border.

While the BSF challenged them, they continued to move forward, and as soon as the BSF opened fire, the Pakistani rangers did the same to provide a cover to the infiltrators. But while the Pak rangers fired 4 rounds, the BSF, in turn, fired 24 rounds. In the wake of this, the infiltrators, in order to save their lives, ran back to Pakistan via the forests and crops, and the Pak rangers too, had to step back.

Following this, the BSF has alerted the guards. SP Anand Sharma said that as no casualty took place, the BSF is looking into the matter at its own level.
