We often associate cardiovascular exercises with just running or going for jogs in the park, however there is much more to this fitness activity.

Cardio can be in different forms and styles; fitness enthusiasts are coming up with newer ways every day to keep this rather dreaded style of workout fun and interactive. Terms like cardio and weight-loss are almost cut from the same cloth and that is because anyone who is trying to keep those extra kilos has bay has to embrace cardio exercises.

Experts suggest that up to 30 minutes of cardio exercises daily, for those who do not suffer from any kind of chronic conditions especially linking to the heart can help us in more ways than one. Cardio has multiple benefits like keeping stamina, fitness and strength levels soaring high, strengthening the heart and keeping the arteries from blocking, elevating the mood, improving sleep and most importantly activating the immune system.

Skipping or rope jumping was discovered in ancient Egypt, where they used vines as ropes initially, this activity, for a very long time was thought to be a mere play-date essential for little girls but with times this notion changed. This particular form of cardio has been gaining popularity, especially after COVID lockdown days. Being able to work out, staying in one place, using a simple rope while maintaining social distancing was all one needed to stay fit and follow some fitness regimentation during the corona-virus days.

Jumping using a rope can be an excellent way to burn calories if you have limited resources and time, this activity is known to be slightly more hardcore compared to running as landing on both your feet at once tends to have an impact on the muscles but in the longer run this is what makes the lower body as well as the upper body stronger and much more toned than ever.

The best part about skipping other than the fact that it requires only a simple rope and nothing fancy is that is can be practiced in a fashion where it can accommodate breaks in between. This is what also makes this activity less intimidating.

Experts say that 10 minutes of rope jumping is as effective as 30 minutes of running, this makes for a great workout deal for people who are busy juggling tasks and work schedules. it is known to benefit the lungs, heart and help people cope with depression and other kinds of mental health problems, without costing a fortune, making this an ideal budget friendly option among other things.

While we are speaking of the benefits it is necessary to highlight the precautions too. Preferably a low intensity rope jumping session is what is recommended by most experts and studies, although people with bone injuries, respiratory issues and the ones having conditions of the heart should avoid this form of exercise, it sure is helpful and effective when it comes to shredding pounds but can also lead to injuries and discomfort when performed while suffering from such health problems.

This cardio style does not demand an experience or history in the field of sports and can be great for armatures to begin with.  Apart from being a physical workout this is also a workout for the mind, as it demands focus, attention and coordination.

Rope jumping will have you sweating in seconds, trends and videos not very long ago too the internet by storm as such videos are enough to capture the essence of this cardio exercise, and get people to actually follow them since they are short and seem relatively fun and easy, this is a common way to warm the body up when it comes to boxing, cross-training, martial arts and even weight training. This also triggers a fun, positive childhood memory, while you have your toes dipped in this fruitful cardiovascular exercising method.
