Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said it was evident that the BJP would not do “that good” in Karnataka.

The Assam CM added that regardless of who wins, the ultimate thing is that Prime Minister
Narendra Modi is in power.

It may be recalled that CM Sarma had earlier criticized the Congress party while campaigning for the Karnataka assembly elections on May 1.

The CM had stated that the Congress party would not win any election for the next 100 years.

The Assam CM was addressing an election rally for a BJP candidate from the Tumkur
assembly constituency in Karnataka.

With Congress winning 136 seats becoming the single largest party and is all set to form the next government in Karnataka.
