Hyderabad: Telangana Finance and Health Minister Harish Rao alleged that the Congress party has deceived the people of Karnataka in the name of five guarantees.

He further claimed that the Congress is attempting a similar deception with six guarantees in Telangana.

Speaking to the media on the occasion of several leaders joining the BRS party at Telangana Bhavan here on Friday, Harish Rao expressed concern over the challenging situation faced by the people of Karnataka under the rule of the Congress party. He criticized the Congress government for relying on outdated schemes, reducing children’s scholarships, and neglecting funds for development projects.

Minister Harish emphasized that Congress leaders promised heaven to the people of Karnataka but failed to deliver on their commitments. He pointed out the absence of Rahul Gandhi, who made promises in Karnataka but has not visited the state since coming to power.

Harish alleged that Karnataka faced financial difficulties under Congress rule, questioning whether the people want a Diwali of lights or a bankrupt state. He urged the people of Telangana to make wise decisions, stating that Telangana farmers are closely observing the situation in Karnataka and facing challenges against their government.

The minister highlighted the reported suicides of 350 farmers within six months due to severe power cuts in Karnataka. He credited Telangana CM KCR for bringing the state to a point where farmers can take pride.

Harish accused the Congress leaders of bringing a failed model from Karnataka to Telangana, pointing out the lack of job notifications in Karnataka in the past six months.

He warned that trusting Congress guarantees heartbreak, contrasting it with the situation in Telangana where the farmers are reportedly content under the BRS rule. Harish expressed confidence that BRS would come to power for the third time in Telangana.
