Mumbai: A total of 8,668 complaints of code of conduct violations were received on the C-Vigil App across the state between October 15 and November 18, 2024, for the Assembly General Election 2024.
Out of this, 8,668 complaints have been resolved by the Election Commission, the Office of the Chief Election Officer has informed on Tuesday through a media statement.
The statement further stated that citizens can file a complaint about code of conduct violations through the C-Vigil app. This app can be downloaded from any app store. After the complaint is filed, appropriate action is taken after investigation by the concerned team.
Also, various enforcement agencies of the state and central governments have seized a total of Rs 660.16 crore in assets in operations against illegal money, liquor, drugs, precious metals, since October 15. Effective implementation of the code of conduct is underway across the state.
The highest seizure of Rs 8711.95539 lakhs was seized in Mumbai suburban district, while the lowest, Rs 89.48898 lakhs, was seized in Parbhani district of Marathwada region.
Meanwhile, the poll campaign ended at 1800 hours on Monday, and polling will take place on November 20 in all 288 assembly constituencies and by election in Nanded Lok Sabha constituency. The counting of votes will be held on November 23.
Preparation has been completed by the state election commission to conduct a single-phase election in the state with adequate security arrangements.
