BJP win in Delhi polls victory of PM Modi’s guarantees: LoP Sunil Sharma.

Srinagar: Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday described party’s win in Delhi assembly polls as victory of PM Modi’s guarantees, while J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah mocked INDIA alliance constituents for fighting against each other.

Leader of Opposition in Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, and senior BJP leader Sunil Sharma while talking to media said, “Delhi people have rejected the corruption and Arvind Kejriwal’s betrayal. They have opted to go with PM Modi’s guarantees.”

“People have realized that every opportunity lies under Modi’s guarantees. Similarly in J&K, the National Conference’s (NC) deceitful politics will also be rejected by the people. Despite making tall claims in its manifesto, NC has failed to come up to the expectations of the people,” Sharma said.

National Conference (NC) Vice-President and Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah took a jibe at the INDIA bloc, saying ‘Aur lado aapas mein.

Omar reacted to the post showing early leads by BJP this morning by posting a GIF and wrote “Aur lado aapas mein!!!”.

Senior Congress leader and Member of Parliament (MP), Jairam Ramesh, however, stated that the election results reflect nothing more than a referendum on Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He also said that Congress will once again form the government in Delhi in 2030. “The 2025 Delhi Vidhan Sabha election results reflect nothing more than a referendum on Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party. After all, at the height of the PM’s popularity in 2015 and 2020, AAP had won decisively in Delhi. This shows that, rather than being vindication of the policies of the PM, this vote is a rejection of Arvind Kejriwal’s politics of deceit, deception, and vastly exaggerated claims of achievement,” he wrote on X.

Pertinently, the BJP is all set to form the government in Delhi after 27 years.

When this report was filed BJP had crossed the majority figure of 35 in the 70 member assembly and was leading on more than 10 to 12 seats. The Aam Admi Party led by Arvid Kejriwal was far behind winning around 20 seats, while the Congress failed to open its account in the National Capital.
