Washington: US President Donald Trump said that Chinese President Xi Jinping would ultimately visit the United States, among other world leaders, the CNBC broadcaster reported.

“We’ll have, ultimately, President Xi, we will have everybody coming (to the US),” Trump was quoted as saying on Thursday.

Trump did not provide any further details of Xi’s prospective trip. The Chinese leader last visited the United States in November 2023.

On Wednesday, the New York Times reported that Trump would like to reach a wide-ranging deal with China that would extend beyond trade issues and would benefit both countries.
