Mangaluru: A shocking development has emerged in the Dharmasthala human burial case, as revelations surface about the central accused, Chinnayya. Social activist Girish Mattannavar has said that Chinnayya had been residing at the home of Mahesh Shetty Timarody while procuring a skull from Dharmasthala.

According to Mattannavar, Chinnayya was adamant that he should stay only at Timarody’s residence and had, over the past two years, repeatedly requested to be taken to the police.
The disclosure has raised serious questions about who might have provided shelter to Chinnayya and why, adding a new layer of complexity to the ongoing investigation.

hinnayya, who was recently produced before a court, is now under intense scrutiny by the Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is expected to probe every aspect of his movements and connections.

Mattannavar urged the SIT to conduct a comprehensive and impartial investigation. “If the SIT calls us, we will cooperate fully and provide all details,” he stated, emphasising his commitment to assist in uncovering the truth.

According to Mattannavar, Chinnayya, under fear, had previously misled investigators to incorrect locations, yet the reality remains that multiple bodies were buried. Relatives of Chinnayya reportedly visited Timarody’s residence frequently, and any meetings Chinnayya wished to hold were facilitated there, suggesting the house played a central role in his activities.

The case has stirred public outrage, with citizens demanding answers: Why was Chinnayya given shelter? Who was he meeting? How extensive was the network that supported him? Observers insist that only a thorough SIT investigation, leaving no stone unturned, can bring out the full truth of the Dharmasthala human burial case to light.
