Sangareddy (Telangana): Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar alleged that despite the involvement of former minister K T Rama Rao (KTR) in the Lagicharla incident and various scams, there is no possibility of his arrest.

Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Bandi Sanjay claimed that former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) had negotiated with senior Congress leaders in Delhi to shield KTR from legal action.

Bandi Sanjay further claimed that two families are ruling Telangana, the RK family (Revanth Reddy and KCR). He alleged a business connection between these two families and stated that he is ready to expose it with evidence.

He clarified that he has no business links with Revanth Reddy and challenged BRS leaders to prove otherwise, pledging to retire from politics if they succeed.

Bandi Sanjay accused the BRS of creating chaos in Telangana for political advantage. He alleged that during protests by Group 1 aspirants and police constables, BRS leaders orchestrated violence, including incidents in the Lagicharla village of Vikarabad district, where farmers protested against using agricultural land for a pharma city. He called for banning the BRS, claiming it is a “destructive party” that exploits public grievances for political gains.

Addressing the plight of farmers, Bandi Sanjay criticized the state government for failing to procure paddy as promised. He said the government had set a target of procuring 95 lakh metric tons by November 15 but had achieved less than half, forcing farmers to sell to brokers at rates below the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Rs 2,300 per quintal. He accused authorities of exploiting farmers by imposing deductions for impurities like dirt and moisture, with no action taken to address these issues.

Bandi challenged Chief Minister and other ministers to visit procurement centres and prove that paddy is being purchased without deductions. “If farmers are getting bonuses or the promised MSP, I will publicly apologize. Otherwise, I expect the Chief Minister to do the same and resign,” he stated.

He called for immediate and full-fledged paddy procurement at MSP with an additional Rs 500 bonus per quintal.

Bandi Sanjay listed alleged scams involving KCR’s family, including the Dharani portal land misappropriation, the Janwada farmhouse rave party, and irregularities in the Formula Race event, claiming no action was taken despite evidence.

Responding to speculation about being appointed BJP’s state president, Bandi Sanjay clarified that he currently serves as a Union Minister and that such decisions are rare, only made in exceptional circumstances like those of JP Nadda and Kishan Reddy during elections.

He urged the public to consider the alleged failings and controversies of both the BRS and Congress, emphasizing the BJP’s commitment to addressing farmers’ issues and ensuring justice.
