Bhaichung Bhutia joins Bharat Jodo Yatra

Gangtok: Bhaichung Bhutia, President of Hamro Sikkim Party has joined Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra at Srinagar.

The football legend has requested the support of the Congress on two issues. Bhaichung ,has explained to Rahul and Priyanka on Sunday about the majority of Sikkimese Indians being referred to as the “persons of foreign origin” in the Supreme Court judgement (dated 13.1.23) and the need to restore their seat in the Legislature was also apprised.

Bhaichung, also explained why Inner Line Permit ,is necessary for all- round development of Sikkim and prosperity, during Bharat Jodo Yatra. He requested all the leaders of Congress to support any resolution/bill brought in Parliament to solve these issues,’ informed Biraj Adhikari General Secretary, HSP.

Earlier,back here,President HSP stressed that Govt must pass the bills in the Assembly and send it to parliament, so that it becomes a law.
