Brief exchange of fire between SFs, terrorists in Rajouri, Op on

Jammu: A brief exchange of fire took place between security forces and terrorists in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The operation is underway, said a police official on Thursday.

Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain posted on X, “on Aug 28 at 2130 hrs, a search operation was launched by Security Forces in the Kheri Mohra Lathi and Danthal areas of Budhal, in Rajouri district.”

He further said that at 2345 hrs, contact was established with Terrorists near Kheri Mohra, leading to an exchange of fire and further details awaited.

The bordering Rajouri and Poonch districts will go to poll on September 25 in the second phase of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections.
