Congress appoints 26 new district presidents in Uttarakhand

New Delhi: The Congress on Thursday appointed 26 new presidents in various districts and cities of Uttarakhand and asked all of them to take up new responsibilities with immediate effect.

Congress general secretary KC Venugopal said today that party president Mallikarjun Kharge has approved the proposal of Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee and asked the newly appointed office bearers to take charge with immediate effect and start work.

He said that the party has fielded Bhupendra Singh Bisht in Almora, Nayan Singh Rawat in Ranikhet, Bhagat Singh Dasila for Bageshwar, Puran Kathit for Champawat, Mukesh Negi for Chamoli, Laxmi Agarwal Pachhwa Doon, Jasvir Singh Gogi from Dehradun, Mohit Sharma from Uniyal Pachwadoon, Satpal Brahmachari from Haridwar City, Rajiv Chaudhary from Haridwar, Virendra Jati Roorkee, Rajendra Chaudhary from Roorkee City, Rahul Chimwal from Nainital. Govind Singh Haldwani, Vinod Singh Negi Pauri Garhwal, Vinod Dabral Kotdwar, Anju Lunthi Pithoragarh, Manohar Tolia Didihat, Kunwar Singh Sajwan Rudraprayag, Rakesh Rana Tehri Garhwal, Uttam Singh Devprayag, Musharraf Hussain Kashipur, CP Sharma Rudrapur, Himanshu Gaba Udham Singh Nagar, Manish Rana Uttarkashi and Dinesh Chauhan have been given the responsibility of Purola.
