EAM Jaishankar holds talks with Belgium’s Princess Astrid, Dy PM and FM Maxime Prevot

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar today met Princess Astrid of Belgium, who is leading an economic mission to India, and also held talks with the Belgium Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot.

In posts on X, the EAM voiced confidence that the visit of the Belgium delegation will foster greater collaborations for stronger ties between India and Belgium and with the European Union.

Oh his meeting with the Belgium Princess, he posted:

“Delighted to meet HRH Princess Astrid of Belgium, leading an economic mission to India.

“Confident that her visit will foster greater collaborations for a stronger India – Belgium and India – EU partnership.”

On his bilateral talks with the Belgium DPM and FM, he wrote that the two sides held comprehensive discussions on advancing the bilateral partnership in trade, investment, clean energy, pharma, semiconductors, digital, and defence.

“A pleasure meeting DPM & FM @prevotmaxime of Belgium this morning in New Delhi.

“Held comprehensive discussions on advancing our bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, clean energy, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, digital, mobility and defense. Highlighted new opportunities for ‘Make in India, Design in India and Research in India’.

“Also spoke about furthering our EU and multilateral cooperation, as well as global and regional developments.”
