Kolkata: Calling for a march to the national capital, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday said, ” We will make sure our voice reaches the ears of the leaders in Delhi for the due funds of the poor people of Bengal. ”
” For far too long, the people of Bengal have been bearing the brunt of withheld MGNREGA and Awas Yojana funds, ” Banerjee stated.
” But, we will not bow down, ” she asserted.
” We shall march to Delhi, carrying the heartfelt letters written by the affected people, ” the Chief Minister said adding, ” Together, we stand firm and unwavering, for Bengal and its people. ”
On Wednesday, she said, ” Despite being the best performing state in the MGNREGA Scheme, the Centre has stopped funds out of sheer jealousy and vendetta politics. ”
” We will take over fight to Delhi, ” Banerjee added.
” No longer will the people of Bengal tolerate BJP-led Central Government’s deprivation, ” the party said.
