Gunfight breaks out between terrorists and SFs in J&K’s Rajouri

Jammu: A gunfight broke out between a group of terrorists believed to be two and a joint team of security forces on Wednesday in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Police said that acting on specific inputs, a cordon and a search operation were launched in the Kalakote belt on Tuesday in the Bajumaal area of Kalakote.

“The hiding terrorists this morning fired at the search party, which was retaliated and encounter-triggered,” they said.

Police added that two terrorists are believed to be trapped in an ensuing operation, while more details are awaited.
