Hyderabad: HCL Tech, a leading global technology company, has announced a major expansion of its global delivery network in Hyderabad by launching a new state-of-the-art tech centre.

The announcement was made after a meeting between Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, IT & Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, and HCLTech’s Global CEO and Managing Director, C Vijayakumar, on the inaugural day of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos on January 20.

The new 320,000 sq. ft. facility, located in Hyderabad’s Hi-Tech City, will focus on delivering advanced cloud, AI, and digital transformation solutions to global clients in industries such as hi-tech, life sciences, and financial services. It will accommodate 5,000 IT professionals and is certified Gold by the Indian Green Building Council, reflecting HCLTech’s commitment to sustainability.

“Hyderabad, with its world-class infrastructure and exceptional talent pool, continues to be a key location for HCLTech’s global network. This new centre will enable us to bring cutting-edge capabilities to our global clients while contributing to the local technology ecosystem,” said C. Vijayakumar, CEO and Managing Director of HCLTech. He extended an invitation to the Hon’ble Chief Minister and IT & Industries Minister to inaugurate the facility next month.

Welcoming HCLTech’s expansion plans, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said, “The new tech centre reaffirms Hyderabad’s position as a preferred destination for global IT companies and strengthens its reputation as a leading IT hub in the world.”

IT & Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu highlighted the state government’s commitment to fostering Hyderabad’s tech and innovation ecosystem, with an emphasis on extending growth to tier-2 and tier-3 cities. He encouraged HCLTech to consider establishing an IT centre in another city within Telangana and assured the company of full government support for its continued growth in the state.

HCLTech has been operating in Hyderabad since 2007. With the addition of this new facility, the company’s presence will expand to five centres in the city, accommodating a total of 8,500 seats.

This expansion underscores HCLTech’s dedication to creating opportunities for local talent and delivering world-class technology solutions while supporting Telangana’s vision of inclusive and sustainable growth, according to an official statement here late at night on Tuesday.
