Jammu: The security forces on Thursday opened fire on at least two suspicious persons close to the Line of Control (LoC) in the Sunderbani area of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

The Border Security Force (BSF) troops noticed two suspects and fired at them early on Thursday, said sources.

“The troops fired a few rounds at the suspects and also alerted the nearby posts,” a source said.

Sources added that the Army troops deployed in the Sunderbani sector also fired some rounds.

The joint team of Army and BSF has launched a search operation, they said.
