Landslide shuts Jammu-Srinagar NH near Udhampur

Jammu: The busiest Jammu-Srinagar national highway was closed on Wednesday morning due to landslide in Udhampur district.

“The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway shut due to a landslide at Dewal Bridge in Udhampur,” said a police official.

He said that a huge boulder fell on the road followed by landslide, adding, “the operation is underway to clear the route with help of men and machinery while the traffic is expected to be restored soon.”
