Chennai: There was a mild flutter a while at a function attended by Tamil Nadu Governor R.N.Ravi when a sudden sound came from the airconditioning unit and a think smoke emanated from it.

The Governor was participating as a chief guest at the ‘Dynamic India of the Millennium award’ function organised by KG Hospitals at Saravanampatti in Coimbatore on Wednesday.

The incident took place minutes after the function started and during the recital of traditional ‘Tamil Thaai Vaazhthu’ (invoking the blessings of Tamil Goddess mother).

However, the fault was set right immediately and the function continued without any hitch.
