Etawah (UP): In a bid to attract more and more domestic and foreign tourists in Etawah Safari Park, situated in the rugged plains of Chambal, which is full of natural beauty, on the occasion of New Year the park authorities are taking help of social media.
Though there are a large number of other wildlife in the Etawah Safari Park, but Asiatic lions are the biggest attraction is the Asiatic lions and to watch them a large number of domestic and foreign tourists reach here throughout the year.
Deputy Director of the park Arun Kumar Singh said that the management is busy preparing for the new year as a large number of tourists are expected to come to Etawah Safari Park from December 25. “The park is also being promoted through Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, All India Radio and other mediums. Efforts are also being made to start the 4D theater in the new year,” he said.
As Asiatic lion is the main attraction of the safari is the Asiatic Lion the park authorities have released four lions in the five hectare area of the safari. Tourists are of the view that the manner in which they can watch lions in Etawah Safari, this scene is not available in any other part of the country.
A tourist from Rajasthan said that there are lions in Ranthambore in Rajasthan too, but it is not sure whether one can watch the big cat or not. Here is Etawah Lion Safari encounter with a lion is a surety, he said.
The park authorities said a team of doctors led by Dr. Rabin Yadav of Etawah Safari Park remains present between 9 am to 5 pm so that in case if a lion attacks a tourist, then it can deal with the situation.
While there are around 20 lions in the park other animals, including deer, black deer, bear, leopard, are also present in large numbers. Etawah Safari Park can be easily reached in five hours from the capital Delhi, two hours from Taj city Agra, three hours from Lucknow and just two hours from any part of Bundelkhand.
The park authorities said that it has been planned to install big hoarding banners at nine places on the highway and other main roads coming out of Etawah. Three will be installed on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, three on the Kanpur-Agra Highway and three at the entry point of Etawah city, they said.
It may be noted that developed during Samajwadi Party (SP) regime, the Etawah Safari Park was inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on June 1, 2017, but was opened for the tourists on November 25, 2019.
