The Australian government, till now, has not warned its people about the gravest danger possibly approaching them. A group of 5 experts here believe that the biggest challenge in front of Australia is China, and the nature of this threat is in the form of full-scale war. As per the experts, China can launch full-scale war against Australia, and the country is not prepared for the same.

A report titled ‘Red Alert’ has been published by Australia’s media publications, ‘The Sydney Morning Herald’, and ‘The Edge’, after they had a word with these 5 experts. Foreign Policy Expert, Lavina Lee, has said that China is the biggest challenge for Australia’s regional arrangement, which the country has been facing for the last 70 years. Australia’s former Chief Scientist, Alan Finkel has mentioned the threat of a biological attack from China. He has asked that if China is about to attack, you will naturally look into the army’s and missile formations, but what will happen if it is a biological attack?

Adding that no way out will be seen if something like that happens, and hence, Australia needs to invest in its cyber-security and biological security, thinking as if the attack can take place the very next day itself. It is noteworthy here that after the COVID-19 pandemic, relations between Australia and China turned sour. Australia was among the first countries to ask the WHO for an impartial investigation into the origin of the virus, and the county had blamed China for the pandemic breakout.

This did not go down well with China at all, and therefore, the relations between both the countries are going through their worst phase. Looking at the offensive ways of China, Australia will buy 5 nuclear submarines from the USA. By 2027, the USA will deploy some of its submarines in west Australia.
