300 kg heroin in Sri Lanka

Colombo: Ten suspects have been arrested with 300 kg of heroin in the sea off Hambantota in Sri Lanka, a newspaper reported on Monday.

The arrests followed a joint operation by the Sri Lanka Navy, the Special Task Force (STF) and the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB), the Daily Mirror said.

The Navy said two fishing boats and a dinghy were seized aong with the suspects.
