A city’s name, situated in Rajasthan, trending on Twitter has now become an everyday affair. One day, it is Karauli, the other day, Jodhpur and now it is Bhilwara.

On Tuesday, 10th May, in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara’s Shastri Nagar area, Om Prakash Tapadiya’s younger son, Honey, got into an argument with a few Muslim individuals over a petty money-related issue. In the wake of this argument, Honey’s elder brother, Adarsh Tapadiya reached the spot in order to control the situation. What happened next could never have been imagined by either Honey or Adarsh. Adarsh was brutally stabbed by the Muslim perpetrators. And even though Adarsh was rushed to the hospital, his life could not be saved.

After this incident, tensions have continued to augment in Bhilwara and internet services are currently suspended in the city. Hindu organizations like Bajrang Dal have also called for a ‘Bhilwara Bandh’ in order to protest against the horrendous crime.

Talking to GoaChronicle regarding the matter, BJP MLA Gyan Dev Ahuja categorically stated, “Muslims in Bhilwara have created a havoc and I do not shy away from speaking the truth bluntly. He added how the situation in Bhilwara is highly sensitive at this point in time.

The crux of the matter is, that criminal activities with communal angles against Hindus has become a daily affair in Rajasthan. During recent times, multiple cities in the state have witnessed similar sorts of crimes and wrongdoings against Hindus- Karauli, Jodhpur, Nagaur, Hanumangarh, Bhadla, Bharatpur and now, in Bhilwara.

MLA Ahuja stated how these crimes are increasing and the situation all over the state is exacerbating with complete support of the Congress government in the state. Police inaction is a clear indication of the same. For instance, a week ago, in the Mewat region, a case of cow smuggling came to the fore yet again and till date, the police have managed to arrest only three out of the alleged culprits. On the other hand, after the recent Jodhpur riots, the culprits were bailed out at 2.30 am in the morning!

In the wake of such communal crimes increasing at such a rapid pace, the people of the state are now tensed and strongly believe that similar incidents can take place at other locations as well.

Revealing how even amidst such tense situations in the state, Congress’ political drama doesn’t seem to come to an end anytime soon, MLA Ahuja said how during the grand old party’s Chintan Shivir at Udaipur today, the supporters of Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot created ruckus and tore and threw the former Rajasthan Congress President and former Deputy CM of the state, Sachin Pilot’s posters and banners. As a result, even Pilot’s supporters created a lot of havoc.

This indicates what level of ‘chintan’ or brainstorming the Congress is doing in the state!

Looking at the sorry state of affairs in Rajasthan, I get forced to believe that indeed the state is now sitting on a ticking time bomb because it is indeed true that the state government, rather than taking action on the culprits involved, continues to politicize every matter and whitewash the communal crimes being committed and the police machinery is being used in order to safeguard the criminals while nobody pays heed to what happens to the victims affected.

The Congress and Ashok Gehlot continue to enjoy the perks of political power while multiple Hindu victims have suffered and continue to live in a state of fear and while the state is in complete chaos, the drama of the chintan shivir showcased how Congress just can’t get over its petty politics and in-fighting. Indeed, a lot of chintan on the part of Ashok Gehlot and his party is required to bring back to Rajasthan, the peace it has always been known for.
