New DelhI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday conducted raids at multiple locations across the country in an ongoing probe of Delhi’s excise policy row.

Informed sources said the searches took place at over 30 locations in various states.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) spokesperson Saurabh Bharadwaj the media was stationed outside Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s house but no ED team turned up there.

“We heard that ED has conducted raids at several places but ED team did not come to Sisodia’s house as they knew that they would not find anything at his house.”

Sisodia said the Modi government had ordered CBI-ED raids to stop the work of education in Delhi “but they will not be able to stop the work of education. This is our guarantee”.

Last week, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) searched a bank locker of Sisodia at Ghaziabad over alleged irregularities in the excise policy. The CBI registered a case against Sisodia and others.
