New Delhi: A Delhi court on Monday sentenced AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan to 14 days judicial custody in connection with alleged illegal recruitment linked to the Delhi Waqf Board.

The court passed the order after hearing a plea on behalf of Delhi Police Anti-corruption Branch (ACB).

Special Judge Vikash Dhull gave the order at the end of Khan’s five days in police custody.

Delhi Police arrested Khan on September 16.

It is alleged that Khan while working as Chairman of the Delhi Waqf Board illegally recruited 32 people, including his relatives and acquaintances, in violation of norms, citing urgency and vacancies.
