Mysuru: All India Congress Committee President Sonia Gandhi on Monday arrived in the city to participate in the Karnataka leg of Bharat Jodo Yatra.

This will be for the first time that Sonia will be participating in the yatra which has entered its 26th day. She has not been a part of it reportedly due to health issues.

However, Sonia will participate in the yatra on Thursday morning after a two-day break due to Dasara celebrations.

Jairam Ramesh, the senior Congress leader, had informed about the break on October 1 at a press conference at Gundlupet where the yatra had entered Karnataka from Tamil Nadu’s Gudalur on September 30 night.

The yatra is being spearheaded by Rahul Gandhi who would cover the entire 3,570 km march.
