On 9th October, Sunday, in Sector 111 of Haryana’s Gurugram, a tragic incident took place. Here, 6 children, who had gone to swim in a rainwater pond, drowned in the water and lost their lives. Due to the darkness of the atmosphere due to the weather conditions prevalent in the region where constant rainfall has become a problem, the recovery of the dead bodies by the police personnel became difficult. The drowned children aged between 8 and 13 years.

All the children belonged in the nearby colony of Shankar Vihar. DM Nishant Yadav said that the dead bodies of 6 children were recovered and the administration was making announcements, asking people to inform them about any other child who could have gone missing. He added that if it will be required, then the pond will be searched again and the water could also be pumped out.

The deceased children were Varun, Ajeet, Rahul, Deva, Durgesh and Piyush.

In the video showing the scenes from ground zero below, a large number of locals can be seen gathered near the pond, discussing the issue, and the police can be seen asking them to move away.
