On 1st May, 2022, the Nirogi Rajasthan scheme was initiated in the state of Rajasthan, but similar to other schemes announced by the state government, this one too, has not been fully implemented till now due to a lack of preparations. Neither are their medicines on counters, nor do the hospitals have the required budget to buy them. Ajmer’s Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital alone, needs 17 lakh crore rupees to buy the required medicines. The RMSCL, Rajasthan Medical Services Corporation Limited, which is the body supplying medicines all across the state, had asked for a time period of 5 months at the least even before the scheme began, but the government initiated the scheme in a hurry.

At this point, the RMSCL has said that in order to activate the complete supply of medicines in the state, it will require time till November. The Nirogi Rajasthan scheme has under it 854 medicines and sutures. These are the medicines which were not available under the Mukhyamantri Nishulk Dava Scheme. After the initiation of the scheme, when doctors prescribed these medicines to patients, a lot of positive effects could be seen. With additional budget allocation, the medicines were bought from the markets. But since the last 3 months, neither is there a budget, nor the stock of medicines.

The Nirogi Rajasthan medicines have disappeared from the counters and stores of government hospitals in the state, with no supply of medicines from Jaipur RMSCL, while the hospitals have huge demands for these medicines.
