16th Global Mining Summit & IMME 2022 from Nov 16-19 in Kolkata

Kolkata: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with the Ministry of Mines and Coal is organising a flagship event in the Mining sector Global Mining Summit (GMS) & International Mining Machinery Exhibition (IMME).

The 16th edition of GMS and IMME is being planned from November 16 to 19. GMS is scheduled from November 16 to 17 and IMME will continue till November 19 at Eco Park, Rajarhat, here.

Over the years, the Summit has seen participation from major geographies like Australia, Canada, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, UK, Indonesia, Russia, etc.

The event attracts global mining majors where they showcase the latest technologies for the sector and is an ideal platform for collaborations, technology transfer and networking opportunities with key international players in the sector. The event attracts more than 400 exhibitors from across the globe and 10,000+ business visitors.

The Global Mining Summit 2022: Role of Minerals in Shaping a Sustainable Future aims to highlight the growth and emerging trends in the Indian mining sector. It will focus on the high-priority aspects of the mining business including exploration, ease of doing business, new technology, policy frameworks for sustainable mining, emerging opportunities in critical mineral & rare earth space and urban mining. Major players from the mining, coal, iron ore and other mineral sectors globally, and within India, will use this forum for the exchange of views & ideas and explore business partnerships.

In addition to the conference, exclusive Buyer-Seller meet and B2B meetings are also being organized to explore business opportunities.

Union minister of Coal, Mines & Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi will attend the event
as the ‘Chief Guest’ and Raosaheb Patil Danve, Union Minister of State for Rail, Coal &
Mines is also expected to grace as ‘Guest of Honour’ at the Global Mining Summit.

Vivek Bharadwaj, Secretary, Union Ministry of Mines, Govt has also given his consent for his gracious presence at the Global Mining Summit in Kolkata. Senior Government Leadership and Officials from the Ministry of Coal, Mines and Steel have been invited for the Summit.
