Nitish directed for speedy & proper execution of backward welfare schemes

Patna: Elaborating various schemes for overall development of backward and extremely backward class, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday instructed the

concerned authorities for execution of the welfare schemes of these classes in better manner.

While reviewing the progress of the backwards and extremely backward classes the chief minister said here that his government has taken up various schemes for welfare of the class.

For their overall development extremely backward welfare department was created, he informed.

He said special facilities have been given for education of the students belonging to extremely backward classes for which the state government was making expenditure through its own resources.

The Chief Minister said that his government opened engineering colleges, medical colleges, Polytechnics in large number so that the students of the state can comfortably get technical
education within the state.

He said the students were taking benefits of Bihar Student credit card scheme for pursuing their higher education.

They were also getting the benefits of student scholarship, Kumar said adding that his government was keen for providing better higher education to the students of the state.

Chief Minister asked the authorities to aware the people about the welfare schemes for the backwards and extremely backwards launched for there overall development.

During the review meeting backward class and extremely backward class welfare department secretary Pankaj Kumar apprised the chief minister about the ongoing schemes in detail being executed for welfare and development of these classes.
