Economy of Maharashtra is currently moving towards 1 trillion: Fadnavis

Mumbai: Maharashtra State Deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed the belief that the the economy of Maharashtra is currently moving towards 1 trillion and in the next 4-5 years the country’s economy will be the third largest in the world.

Mr. Fadnavis was presented his thoughts in a special program organised by Marathi news channel called as ‘Sankalp Maharashtracha’ on last night.

Mr. Fadnavis said, The faster the development of Maharashtra as well as the country. Samruddhi super express way is not just a road but it is an economic highway. This highway will give a big boost to the development of the state. Road development plays a major role in the development of the country, so a large network of roads is going to be constructed in the state

For this, Mr. Fadnavis gave the best example of America. America was able to progress because America had better roads. Therefore, Nagpur-Goa, Virar-Alibag corridor will be constructed soon, he said.

Today in Mumbai Metro carries a large number of passengers. Metro-3 will carry around 17 lakh people. Therefore, Mr. Fadnavis expressed the belief that in the next two years, Mumbai will be far ahead in terms of infrastructure facilities.

Mr. Fadnavis further said that it is our resolve to make Maharashtra drought-free along with Marathwada and various schemes are being implemented for this. Various projects are being implemented so that the flowing water comes into the Godavari basin.

Mr. Fadnavis expressed the opinion that the Nalganga-Wainganga projects will bring huge benefits,he added.
