Pune: Vh1 Supersonic 2023, the multi-genre music and lifestyle festival, has started amid much fanfare.
Coming back after three long-years, this edition is the biggest and the grandest. Mahalakshmi Lawns, Pune metamorphosed into an euphoric atmosphere. As Day 1 unfolded, the SuperFam vibed to an immersive musical experience, indulged in games, gorged on delectable food, got their hands on super cool merchandise and much more.
The Main Stage offering the best of Pop, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Indie Pop saw performances by Cold/Mess singer-songwriter Prateek Kuhad and indie band Easy Wanderlings. An unsuspecting audience was treated to an exciting surprise, as actor Siddhant Chaturvedi joined Music composer/producer duo OAFF & Savera of Bollywood movie Gehraiyaan fame, and sang the chartbuster ‘Doobey’ with them on stage!
The live music sets by Sunflower Tape Machine, Kavya and Peter Cat Recording Co, and a thrilling car show were the highlights of NEXA LIVE Stage. The BUDX Spectrum Stage saw audiences setting the dance floor on fire on the beats of techno and house artists. Bob Moses, the globally acclaimed electronic duo from Canada, hit it off with their club set including songs like Enough to Believe, The Blame, Desire and more.
Other artists such as Praveen Achary X Weird Sounding Dude, Tyrell Dub Corp, and Anyasa kept the pulse going. Innellea’s set was an audio-visual treat as he took the audience on a three-dimensional graphical journey. The Reggae Stage offered the musical punch powered by the 10,000 Lions Sound System hosted music sensations, Harshal, Earl Gateshead and Yashin Nirvan.
The Socials Stage had a strong line-up of seven artists including Mozez X PlanB, Ankan, Rasa, Ox7gen, Anushka, EZ Riser, Fracture that left everyone asking for more.
Elevating the pop-cultural experience was the SuperStreet arena, which houses everything stylish and trending including latest fashion wear, NFT and augmented reality art, accessories and more by NRYTA & Sunday Soul Sante. Vh1 Supersonic 2023 also tipped its hat to Sneakerheads and their funky street sub-culture with a dedicated onground store.
Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality organised an amazing SuperFlea, a festival within the festival. The Superfam could savour mouth-watering food from all the restaurants under the Impresario portfolio like SOCIAL, Smoke House Deli, Salt Water Cafe, Slink & Bardot, Boss Burger, Dope Coffee and the list goes on. ‘Cirque Du Social’ zone by SOCIAL saw a full house as guests enjoyed different genres of music while indulging in some delicious food.
The one-of-its-kind audio-visual, multisensory music and lifestyle festival will continue till February 26.
