Anurag Thakur to attend Mathrubhumi daily’s centenary celebrations

Kochi: Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Singh Thakur will attend the valedictory ceremony of Mathrubhumi daily’s centenary celebrations as chief guest here on Saturday.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the valedictory ceremony at the CIAL Convention Centre. Mathrubhumi is one of the front-runners among the Malayalam newspapers in Kerala.

The Union Minister, who is on a one-day visit to Kerala will arrive at Nedumbassery Airport this morning. Later in the afternoon, he will interact with the students and faculty of Rajagiri Business School at the institute premises in Kakkanad.

As part of the event, Anurag Thakur will inaugurate the ‘Stag Table Tennis Academy’ and will also present ‘Golden Boots’ awards to former and current internal athletes.

Later in the evening, the Union Minister will participate in a function to be held at Pragati Academy, Perumbavoor. Thakur will also inaugurate the Holistic Sports in School Curriculum programme, aligning with the National Education Policy 2020.

Kerala Sports Minister V Abdu Rahiman will also participating in the event. Later, the Union Minister will leave for Chennai on the same night.
