Ban on paragliding and flying drones in Dharamshala

Dharamshala: Paragliding and flying drones have been banned in Dharamshala in view of the G-20 conference meeting at district headquarter Dharamshala Scheduled to start on Wednesday.

The responsibility of security has been entrusted on the shoulders of 500 police personnel regarding the meeting. Apart from this, a separate team has been formed to monitor other activities.

SP Kangra Shalini Agrihotri said that in view of the G-20 meeting, flying of drones will be prohibited in Dharamshala. Orders have also been issued to stop paragliding on April 19. She told that due to the G-20 meeting, police have deployed personnel from the airport to the Radisson Blu Hotel, the venue of the event. 500 jawans have been deployed in this.

Out of these, around 350 additional jawans have been called from other areas.

There has been no change in the traffic system anywhere, nor has any traffic zone or one-way system been implemented.
