On Monday, June 5, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches across various locations in the state of Rajasthan, pertinent to a money laundering probe into an alleged paper leak case for the recruitment of teachers in the state. Locations across the state capital of Jaipur, Barmer district, and some other cities were covered under the action taken by the central agency under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

After the searches, the houses and offices of accused RPSC members Babulal Katara, Suresh Dhaka, and Suresh Kumar Vishnoi, have been sealed after the ED seized incriminating evidence during the raids. Apart from this, the investigation has also revealed the information of the involvement of two senior Congress leaders in the transaction of money on behalf of a counterfeiting gang. As per sources, Babulal Katara also had some relations with some tribal leaders. The ED has also received a complaint that Katara had given 1.5 crore Rupees to become an RPSC member.

At least 60 arrests have been made in the paper leak case, including those of Katara, coaching director Bhupendra Saran, and Vice Principal Anil Meena, and more than 50 are absconding, including Suresh Dhaka.

With the alleged involvement of Congress leaders in the scam, the Congress in Rajasthan is now facing the heat and the opposition of the people, especially the aspirant youth of the state.
