Kolkata: Veteran BJP leader and former Tripura and Meghalaya Governor Tathagata Roy has taken a swipe at the party leaders for failing to identify a single West Bengal-specific issue even as the Lok Sabha poll is merely six months away.

Taking to X, Roy said, ” Lok Sabha elections are just 6 months away, but regrettably @BJP4Bengal has not identified a single West Bengal-specific issue which they will canvass as part of their election campaign. ”

Roy, former state party chief, also accused the BJP leaders in Bengal of just remaining busy with allotting party posts.

“An extremely inward-looking party!” Roy commented, tagging the BJP’s national X handle.
