New Delhi: Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena handed over appointment letters to around 392 newly recruited government employees on Tuesday.

Speaking at an event organised to distribute appointment letters to selected youth for various government departments, Saxena said, “Government jobs are not just a means of running a family but also an opportunity for serving the nation.”

He noted that this is the fourth occasion in the past year when appointment letters are being issued to individuals for various departments in Delhi.

Saxena further highlighted, “The challenge of securing permanent employment,” saying that every year, millions of young people work hard to secure government jobs, but only a fortunate few are selected.

He emphasised that no position is too small or big, and the person sitting in a particular role defines its functioning. Each individual in a position has a unique role to play, he added.

Shoorveer Singh, Chairman of the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) said, “More than 10,000 people were recruited for different departments through a transparent online recruitment process in 2023.”

A total of 392 youths were awarded appointment letters during this distribution ceremony.
