Agartala: A day before the BJP’s national executive meeting in Delhi, as many as 70 lawyers aligned with the CPM joined the BJP in the party’s headquarters here in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and President Rajib Bhattacharjee.

Welcoming them with a saffron flag on Friday, Dr. Saha said besides, commoners’ intellectuals are now deserting CPM because of their anti-national stand and anti-development approach, which indicated the people’s faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a sign of the victory of the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

“I believe this joining will strengthen the Legal Cell and our organisation in preparation for the elections. The people’s faith in PM Narendra Modi Ji is evident everywhere, indicating a potential victory,” said Dr. Saha, adding that in the BJP, positions hold no special significance but relationships are of the utmost importance; individuals may be engaged in various professions, but as human beings, all are equal.

It took some time, but eventually, the country was fortunate to have Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister. After he took office in 2014, the landscape of India underwent a significant transformation, Dr. Saha observed, and he credited the PM for changing the dynamics of politics and implementing schemes for the people’s benefit.
