Prepare beneficiary lists on war-footing for effective implementation of schemes:Shinde

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has said to achieve the objectives of the seven welfare schemes included in the budget, a coordinating officer has been appointed for each scheme at the district level.

He also directed that lists of beneficiaries should be prepared on war footing.

He was speaking in a review meeting regarding various ambitious schemes on Thursday evening.

Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakantdada Patil, Skill Development Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha, Minority Development Minister Abdul Sattar, Principal Adviser to Chief Minister’s Secretariat Manoj Sounik and Chief Secretary Sujata Sounik among all concern officials were present.

The Chief Minister also gave special instructions that the government as well as various authorities, local bodies, corporations etc. departments should immediately register such eligible candidates for the Chief Minister’s Youth Work Training Program and accommodate them in this scheme according to their qualifications so that a large number of candidates can be given scholarships under this scheme.

.At the beginning Shinde inaugurated the portal of Chief Minister’s Youth Work Training Scheme.

Candidates and businesses, establishments can register on this portal https://rojgar.mahaswayam.gov.in.

In the meeting, Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana (Women and Child Development Department), Chief Minister Youth Work Training Scheme (Skill Development Department), Chief Minister Annapurna Yojana (Food and Civil Supplies Department), Free Higher Education Scheme for Girls (Higher and Technical Education Department), Chief Minister Pilgrimage Darshan Yojana (Department of Social Justice), Chief Minister Baliraja Power Concession Scheme (Department of Energy) and Chief Minister Vyoshree Yojana (Department of Social Justice) were reviewed in detail.

The Chief Minister also directed to take effective action to reach the beneficiaries of this scheme.

Shinde while giving instructions said for the implementation of each of these schemes, the responsibility should be given to the senior officer of the concerned department as a coordinator at the district level.

District Collectors and Divisional Commissioners should also review the progress of these schemes and their registrations every week.

Districts should determine the objectives. The concerned departments implementing the scheme should also take initiative. Efforts should be made to reach the scheme to the beneficiaries,said Shinde.

He also gave a stern warning that it is not appropriate to withdraw money from such entities. So if there is any malpractice in the implementation of the schemes, it will not be tolerated,he added.
