Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youth wing president and candidate from the Pulwama Assembly constituency Waheed-ur-Rahman Parra on Wednesday said that this election is a chance to achieve everything and reclaim rights that were snatched from the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

“In my opinion, this election and today’s voting is an act of self-preservation for Kashmiris,” Parra told media persons in Pulwama on Wednesday.

“It’s a chance to achieve everything that was snatched from us,” the PDP candidate said, adding that, “This is an act to reclaim the space and to reclaim our rights and reclaim our democratic constitutional rights that have been snatched and robbed from us.”

Parra said, “There will be a massive participation of the people in this election, because people understand the democratic participation and they realise that this is an opportunity and a beginning of reclaiming whatever we have lost.”

Parra contested the last Lok Sabha elections from the Srinagar constituency and lost against the National Conference candidate Aga Ruhullah.
