Chennai: Asserting that there might by debates in coalition, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister
and DMK President M K Stalin has said that it would never lead to a crack in the ties with its allies and it was as strong as ever and would win the 2026 Assembly and all the subsequent elections.

Responding to Opposition AIADMK Leader EDappadi K Palaniswami’s charge that the DMK alliance would disintegrate following some problems raised by its allies like the CPI-M and VCK, Mr Stalin said the Leader of the Opposition has become an astrologer to predict that the DMK-led alliance will disintegrate (ahead of the 2026 polls).

“There are no cracks…there might be debates (among the allies) which is common. But that that does not mean that it will lead to cracks in the alliance”, Mr Stalin, said, adding, the alliance was as strong as ever and there would not be any cracks in future too and it will win the 2026 polls and all the subsequent polls and none need to have any doubts over it.

The DMK alliance was formed on principles, not for elections alone or to come to power, according to Chief Minister Stalin. DMK headquarters ‘Anna Arivalayam’ played host to the solemnisation of a party functionary’s marriage, where Stalin made this statement.

“Irrespective of the DMK in power or not, it will always continue to serve the people”, he said and accused the AIADMK leader of being jealous over the achievements of the ruling DMK.

Mr Stalin also dismissed Mr Palaniswami’s claim that the popularity of the ruling DMK is on the wane and said the Opposition leader was living in a dream world.

The AIADMK’s popularity has been on the down swing, while the DMK-led Front’s performance in the recent Lok Sabha polls was impressive, winning all 39 seats in the State and garnering a higher percentage of votes in 222 assembly segments than the AIADMK.
