New Delhi: Apple is working to build a new team for making an ‘AI answer engine’ similar to ChatGPT. The Cupertino-based tech giant aims to create an AI-enabled app and integrate the search capabilities into technologies like Siri and Safari.

Safari search is specially designed to protect your information and allow you to choose what you share, and Siri leverages on-device processing to learn how you use devices or apps for personalization of experience.

Reportedly, Apple has made an AKI (Answers, Knowledge, and Information) team to thoroughly research the ChatGPT model and integrate its capabilities into the expected new product. Moreover, the AKI team has specialists from giants like Google, Amazon Alexa and different academic AI research programs.

This team is led by Robby Walker (Director, Apple), who reports to the AI chief John Giannandrea (Senior Vice President, Machine Learning and AI strategy).

Reports also stated that Apple has gone through multiple criticisms for not developing its own ‘AI answer engine’ similar to the rival ChatGPT. Moreover, Apple Siri users also need to go for other tools for handling complex queries.
