Two days after the CBI filed a 10-page FIR in the suspicious death case of celebrity manager Disha Salian, the investigative agency has now begun probe in the matter. As per latest reports, a CBI team is set to reach the spot where Disha’s dead body was found, and will attempt at reconstructing the probable death scene. It is also possible for them to record statements of security guards who were on duty the night of Disha’s death.
In the meanwhile, Bollywood actor Sooraj Pancholi, whose name finds mention in the complaint filed by Disha’s father, Satish Salian, which is part of the FIR filed, took to social media and distanced himself from the case. He claimed that he had no relation with the Thackerays and his name is ‘unnecessarily being dragged’ in the matter since the onset.
Simultaneously, as demands of reopening the mysterious death case of Sushant Singh Rajput, along with that of Salian’s, are being raised vehemently yet again, as people believe constant ‘pressure’ on the CBI is the only way towards justice, some statements of Disha’s friends, whose names have also been mentioned in the FIR, have come to the surface. These statements have one thing in common- each statement established that Disha and Sushant did not know each other at all. At the same time, Salians’ lawyer, Nilesh Ojha, has maintained that it is just a matter of time that an evident connection between the two suspicious deaths would emerge.
One friend, Indraneel Vaidya, in his statement, said, ‘Disha and Sushant never met each other, and I have never heard Disha saying that they ever even spoke. I am also aware that Disha was never Sushant’s personal manager.’ Similarly, Deep Ajmera in a juxtaposed statement, said, ‘Disha once told me that she had met Sushant along with her colleagues for work purposes. Other than this, both of them never met each other or ever spoke with each other.’
In a similarly recorded statement, Himanshu Shikhare mentioned, ‘While Disha was working with Cornerstone, she never told me that she and Sushant had ever met or spoken with each other.’ In another statement recorded, that of Resha Padwal, it was mentioned, ‘Disha and Sushant never met each other, nor did Disha ever mention them speaking with each other. Disha was never Sushant’s manager.’
Similar to what the persons mentioned above said, Rohan Rai, Disha’s fiancé, stated, ‘Disha was never Sushant’s manager.’
It is noteworthy at this point that all of these people, who were present at the party that was going on the night Disha died under mysterious circumstances, very conveniently, at the end of each of their statements, made sure, in a similar pattern, to mention how Disha and Sushant had absolutely no connection with each other, as if it was pre-planned that distancing Disha from Sushant at the end of each of their statements was the absolute requisite.
In another massive development, the then investigating officer of the Mumbai police in the Disha Salian case, despite the repeated claims made of both the people and their deaths not being linked in any manner, Rahul Devidas Devade, in official records, stated, ‘On June 14, 2020, the mobile numbers of the deceased woman named Kumari Disha Satish Salian, and those of her friends were obtained. Also, the mobile numbers of the person Disha knew, named Sushant Singh Rajput, were also obtained.’
While officially, even six years after the deaths, the two cases have no relation whatsoever, Devade went on record to state that ‘to obtain their CDR and SDR, correspondence was carried out with the office of the DCP, Zone 11, Mumbai, via our police station letter no. 261/2020. This shows the intriguing fact that while the Mumbai police were probing the Disha case, they obtained the contact numbers, CDR, and SDR of Sushant Singh Rajput; hinting at the fact that they were aware of some sort of connection between the two cases. If not, why was it necessary for them to obtain Sushant’s contact and call details, while working on Disha’s case, especially when the two are still officially not linked?
This fact was mentioned in Devade’s official statement recorded on December 24, 2023.
Now while such colossal evidence is coming to the fore and the CBI is expected to begin its probe Disha’s case, it is being hoped nation-wide that the agency, which took 6 whopping years for just filing an FIR, will take concrete steps, without further ado, and will forge the path towards justice, and the much-required re-opening of the Sushant Singh Rajput death case as well.
