Kolkata: Actress-turned Trinamool Congress leader Saayoni Ghosh on Friday appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials at the CGO Complex in Salt Lake, by responding to a summon in relation to the alleged teachers’ recruitment scam in the West Bengal Government- aided schools and purchase of a flat, official sources said.
“I will extend cooperation with the officials 100 per cent as far as my ability, ” the TMC youth wing president told the waiting media persons before entering the CGO office.
“I arrived within 48 hours after being summoned even after I was busy campaigning for the election, “Ghosh said.
She appeared before the scheduled time at 1130 hours to the ED officials, who are probing the money trails in the alleged teachers’ recruitment scam across West Bengal.
Sources said the ED probing officials include a lady official.
Saayoni Ghosh name allegedly came up during questioning of another accused and incarcerated Kuntal Ghosh, the sources added.
