AirAsia launches direct Kochi–Phuket flight

Kochi: AirAsia has commenced a direct flight service between Kochi and Phuket, enhancing air connectivity between Kerala and Thailand.

The new service operates three times a week—on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, a release said on Saturday.

The flights are operated using Airbus A320 aircraft. Departing Kochi at 2.45 am, the flight arrives in Phuket at 8.05 am (local time), offering convenient early morning access to the popular Thai destination.

The commencement ceremony was inaugurated by CIAL Managing Director S. Suhas. Airport Director Manu G, Air Asia General Manager Suresh Nair, Airport Manager Poobathraj M, along with senior officials from CISF, Immigration, and other departments, as well as representatives from various airlines attended the event.
