New Delhi: BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra on Monday slammed Aam Aadmi Party leader and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia for conducting a roadshow ahead of appearing before the CBI for questioning in the alleged Delhi new excise policy scam case.

“The way Manish Sisodia was raising slogans in an open car on the streets along with his supporters today, it seems as if Aam Aadmi Party has won the World Cup of corruption,” Patra said here at a press conference at the BJP headquarters.

His remarks followed a massive rally by the AAP supporters for Sisodia, who is the number one accused in the alleged liquor policy scam. The rally took place en route to CBI headquarters.

Comparing the show of strength with the Congress party, Patra said, When Rahul Gandhi was called in the corruption case, in the same way the Congress party was engaged in demonstrations, adding that It will not be an exaggeration to say that this celebration is corruption.

Calling the AAP — the most “dishonest” party– Patra said , “Manish Sisodia ji, I want to ask are you the same party which had agitated against corruption with Anna Hazare ji. Throughout India, you took a pledge that we will fight against corruption but today your party has emerged as the most dishonest party.”

Sisodia arrived at the probe agency headquarters around 11.30 am and was taken straight to the first floor of the Anti Corruption Branch.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena had recommended a CBI probe into alleged irregularities in the formulation and execution of the new excise policy, which was brought out in November last year.
