CM Tamang directs to avoid lapses in implementing Central & State Schemes

Gangtok: A state-level meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee attended by MP Indra Hang Subba, MLAs, Chief Secretary VB Pathak, and other officers was directed by the Chief Minister, PS Tamang, to inform MLAs and other elected representatives about every scheme and project being implemented by the Departments.

Once their respective representatives, including MLAs, interact with them about the schemes in detail, the public will be in benefit.

Discussions were held on National and State sponsored schemes.

‘We focused on perfect implementation and growth of such schemes,’ Tamang said on Monday.

CM Tamang instructed the departments present at the meeting organized by the Rural Development Department to implement and act upon all the plans and remedies, including time-bound and centrally sponsored schemes, to avoid unnecessary lapses.

He described the Committee as the one ‘ meant to design an innovative solution for a holistic approach to every progressive activity reaching the grassroots, better coordination among executive and elected representatives for perfect outcomes.
