Gaza City: The death toll from the Israeli strike on Gaza has risen to at least 130 people, including women and children, while hundreds others have been injured, Iranian broadcaster Press TV reported on Tuesday.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said that it was carrying out massive airstrikes on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.

Axios political reporter Barak Ravid said, citing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, that the Jewish state had decided to resume military operations against Hamas after the movement rejected US proposals for a ceasefire.
